All INTJ characters · How MBTI works

Ask Megumi Fushiguro why he saved Yuji and you get an answer most shonen heroes would never say out loud. He does not save everyone. He saves people unequally, on purpose, because he has decided good people deserve more of his effort than bad ones. That is a strange creed for a fifteen-year-old, and it is the clearest window into his type.

Watch him fight and the planner shows. He layers Divine Dogs, Nue and Toad, counts his resources, and keeps one terrifying ritual in reserve, a shikigami no Ten Shadows user has ever tamed, as a last resort.

The trouble is that INTJs can get so locked into the plan that they forget to throw their whole body into the moment. Gojo has told him he always holds back. At the Yasohachi Bridge, cornered by a curse, he finally lets go, and the result is his first, unfinished Domain Expansion.

The rule itself came first. I type Megumi as an INTJ because he settles on a conclusion and then holds it like a rock. He reached this one long before the story began, most likely while watching his kind stepsister Tsumiki fall into a cursed coma for no reason at all. The world offered no fairness, so he built a private standard of his own.

He fits a Five with a Six wing. Fives guard their energy, watch from a distance, and keep their feelings in a locked drawer. Megumi’s flat voice and permanent scowl are that drawer. The Six wing explains his loyalty to a very small circle: Tsumiki, Gojo, and the two noisy classmates he pretends to tolerate. It also explains the dark side of his caution, a willingness to spend himself completely once he decides the math demands it.

Shibuya shows that side in full. Worn down by Dagon, then by his own resurrected father Toji, then ambushed by Haruta, he starts the Mahoraga ritual fully expecting to die. Sukuna steps in for his own reasons. Megumi survives, and the lesson he still has to learn is that winning includes staying alive.

Plenty of fans call him ISTJ, a dutiful rule follower. I see it. Still, his rules are self-made, never inherited. When Toji asks his name, he answers Fushiguro, not Zenin. His code comes from his own vision of fairness, and that is INTJ territory.

Strengths

  • Calm, tactical thinker under pressure
  • Fiercely loyal to the few he lets in
  • Holds firm to his own moral code
  • Adapts his shikigami to any situation
  • Plans for the worst case before anyone else sees it

Weak spots

  • Treats himself as the first thing to sacrifice
  • Hides every feeling behind a scowl
  • Holds back his full strength
  • Judges people fast and rarely revisits it

In relationships

Care, for Megumi, is a locked box: it is in there, you just cannot see it. He would do anything for Tsumiki and puts himself between Yuji and danger more than once, but he will never say anything warm about it. Yuji and Nobara wear him down by refusing to take his silence personally.

In a fight he goes cold and logical, then broods for days. He needs people who are patient and direct: Yuji, whose openness balances his reserve, Nobara, who drags him into the room whether he likes it or not, and Maki, who respects his skill without asking him to talk about it.
