Star Wars personality types

Strip away the lightsabers and Star Wars is a family drama about a dad who made some very bad choices. It started in 1977 with a farm boy, a princess and a smuggler, and almost fifty years later the nine Skywalker films still follow that one family: Anakin’s fall in the prequels, Luke and Leia’s rebellion in the originals, and Rey and Kylo Ren fighting over the past in the sequels.

We picked twelve characters, from Luke to Din Djarin, the quiet bounty hunter of The Mandalorian who ends up raising a tiny green kid. The Force suits personality typing because fear, anger and stubborn hope decide who falls and who comes back. Anakin and Luke face the same temptation and choose differently. Han and Finn both want to run, and both stay. We stick to canon, meaning the films and The Mandalorian, with no Legends material. Spoilers for all nine movies and the show are on the table, so watch first if you care about the twists.
