Finn’s story starts with a handprint. During the raid on a Jakku village, a dying stormtrooper reaches up and leaves a streak of blood on Finn’s white helmet, and something in him refuses to go on. He does not fire. Hours later he breaks a Resistance pilot out of a Star Destroyer, mostly because he needs a pilot to escape. That is the core of him: a good heart that moves first and asks questions halfway out the hangar door.
ESFP is my read. Extraverted sensing leads: Finn reacts to what is happening right now, loudly and physically, often with his arms in the air. He talks his way onto the Starkiller mission by promising to get the shields down, then admits to Han he only worked sanitation there, and he talks fast through every scrape. Introverted feeling backs that up, and it turns a scared deserter into a hero. He keeps running back for Rey. In The Last Jedi he trades a getaway attempt for a desperate mission with Rose, then aims his speeder at the battering ram cannon on Crait to save everyone else.
The tension inside him is a 6 with a 7 wing. Sixes are built around fear and loyalty, and Finn has plenty of both. He was raised by an army that took his name and gave him a number, so he is terrified of being dragged back. His first instinct is to run, to the Outer Rim, anywhere. His second instinct, every single time, is to stay for the people who need him. Sixes who grow learn that courage means acting while still scared, and Finn shows it over and over.
His weak area is introverted intuition, the long view. Finn rarely plans past the next ten minutes, and he lies to Rey about being in the Resistance because he panics about losing her, not because he thought it through. By The Rise of Skywalker he senses things he cannot explain, and the film hints that the Force has been in his instincts all along.
The case for ENFP is reasonable, because he is idealistic and emotional. But Finn lives in his body and his surroundings: running, swinging a lightsaber at Kylo Ren with zero training, grabbing whatever weapon is closest. That hands-on, in-the-moment courage is ESFP.

In relationships
Finn bonds at high speed. He meets Poe during a jailbreak and accepts a new name from him within minutes, then meets Rey during a chase, and by nightfall both are friends for life. He hands out loyalty in full, sometimes before he even knows your story, and he expects nothing back except that you do not leave.
He pairs with steady people who can calm him without dimming him. Rey is his best friend and his reason to stay. Han is the older runner who understands his instincts, and Leia is the commander who sees his worth long before he does.
