Joey Tribbiani wants three things: food, a date and a callback. Not always in that order. He is the clearest ESFP in the show, a creature of the moment who reacts to whatever is in front of him: a meatball sub, a pretty stranger, a foosball table. That is why physical comedy suits him so well, and why his famous pickup line works. It is delivered almost entirely through presence. One Thanksgiving he pulls on Phoebe’s maternity pants so he can finish a whole turkey, which might be the most present-tense thing anyone has ever done.
As a Seven, Joey chases pleasure and avoids pain by keeping life fun and full. The 6 wing is his need for his people. When Chandler moves in with Monica, Joey is hit harder than he lets on, because the apartment and its routines were his safety net. His growth is learning to feel something uncomfortable and stay with it, which is exactly what his love for Rachel forces him to do.
Under the goofy surface is a simple, very firm moral code. Joey is loyal past the point of reason. When he falls for Rachel, he tells her, and when he sees how much it would hurt Ross, he steps back more than once. He may not follow half of what Ross says about dinosaurs, but he knows exactly what a friend owes another friend.
Consequences are not his department, and he is cheerfully fine with that. Tomorrow can worry about tomorrow. He tells a soap magazine that he makes up a lot of his own lines on Days of Our Lives, and the writers respond by dropping Dr. Drake Ramoray down an elevator shaft. A little practical streak shows up around landing acting work, and nowhere else. Even there, his plan is to show up and be charming. Some fans type him ESTP, since he can be blunt and opportunistic. Still, his choices are run by heart rather than tactics. When Joey has to pick between getting what he wants and protecting a friend, he protects the friend almost every time.

In relationships
Joey dates a lot and commits rarely, at least until Rachel. Falling for her is the first time he stays with a feeling that is not fun, and he handles it with far more care than anyone expected. With friends he is the most dependable person in the show. If you need a place to stay, he has a couch and probably a sandwich.
In conflict he is simple and honest. He says what is wrong, hugs it out and forgets it. His best matches are Chandler, his roommate and partner in recliners, Rachel, and Phoebe, who understands his logic better than anyone.
