Ty Lee is the friend who does a handstand during a serious meeting, and also the friend who can drop you with a few quick jabs to the arm. Behind the bubbly circus act is a girl who grew up as one of seven identical sisters, desperate for anyone to see her as herself.
Her big moment comes at the Boiling Rock. When Azula moves to strike Mai, Ty Lee chi-blocks her childhood friend and boss, knowing exactly what it will cost. By the end of the series she has joined the Kyoshi Warriors, a new team she picked for herself.
Behind the cheer sits an enneagram 7 with a 6 wing. Sevens chase fun and freedom and avoid pain by staying in motion. Ty Lee’s answer to a crowded, boring home was to cartwheel out of it. The 6 wing explains why she clings to a strong leader, even a frightening one, and why fear of Azula keeps her in line for so long.
As an ESFP she is physical, present and fearless. She ran away to join the circus, she flips through fight scenes like they are a warm-up, and chi blocking is all about reading a body in real time. Her private sense of who she is runs on introverted feeling. Leaving home was about finding a version of herself that was not one of a matching set, and her aura readings are her way of saying she sees people as individuals too. Even her fighting is efficient: no wasted motion, just a few precise strikes and the other person is down, plus the cheerful confidence of someone who has never doubted her body.
The part she skips is the long view, the question of where a path ends up. When Azula comes to the circus and turns up the pressure, Ty Lee joins her rather than think through where that road leads.
Some fans call her a Two, because she craves approval and loves making people happy. I see it. Still, her deepest pattern is escape: from her family, from boredom, eventually from Azula. She keeps moving toward a lighter, freer place, and that is the Seven core.

In relationships
Ty Lee flirts with half the boys she meets, compliments your aura, and remembers your favorite color. She loves loudly and easily. Under all that, she wants one thing: to be seen as herself, and never as part of a set.
She hates conflict and will dodge it with a joke or a cartwheel until she cannot. When she finally stands up, she does it with her whole body. Her best matches are people who give her steadiness: Mai, her oldest friend, Suki, who gives her a new team to belong to, and Aang, who would make a perfect partner in harmless chaos.
