Eleven’s first words to the boys are a number, and she has no idea what a friend or a promise is. She learns both in Mike’s basement, under a blanket fort, with a box of Eggos. That start explains everything she does later.
Start with how she fights. She flips a van, pins the Demogorgon against a classroom wall with a bleeding nose, and in season four breaks a roller skate against Angela’s face in front of the whole rink. The anger builds quietly for days, then lands through her body in one second. That is ISFP: a private moral code (friends do not lie, nobody hurts the people she loves) acted out rather than argued, and a body that lives entirely in the moment.
Explaining herself is the weak spot. Eleven shows love with actions and single words, which drives Hopper up the wall, and she rarely plans past the next step. When she runs to Chicago in season two to find Kali she is following a feeling and a memory, with no idea what she will do on arrival.
The enneagram 6 comes from Papa. She was raised by a man who used her as a weapon, so every season turns into a test of whether her new family will stay. What she fears most is being abandoned or being seen as a monster, which is why Project Nina and the lab memories hit her so hard. The 5 wing is the girl who pulls inward to study her power, alone in a tank, alone in the dark void.
Plenty of fans call her an ISTP because she is quiet, physical and blunt. It is a fair read. But nearly every big Eleven moment is driven by a wounded value, from protecting Will to refusing to let Papa own her. Feeling is at the wheel, with cold logic in the back seat.
In the finale she makes the first choice nobody makes for her. She stays behind as the Upside Down collapses, and her fate is left for Mike to answer with a story he chooses to believe.
Strengths
- Fiercely protective of the people she loves
- Learns fast once she feels safe
- Brave in a crisis without being asked
- Honest to a fault, since friends do not lie
Weak spots
- Lashes out when she feels cornered
- Struggles to explain what she feels
- Trusts slowly, then sometimes trusts the wrong person
In relationships
Eleven loves with her whole chest and almost no vocabulary. With Mike she learns what a crush is from a boy who called into the static for 353 nights, and with Max she learns that a mall trip and an honest friend can matter as much as a boyfriend. With Hopper she gets the first adult who stays, rules and all.
When she is hurt she goes silent, then explodes, then needs someone to come find her. Her best matches are patient and loyal: Mike, who never stopped believing in her, Max, who teaches her to choose for herself, and Hopper, the dad who earned the title the hard way.
