What is the Enneagram? The 9 types explained
MBTI describes how you think and decide. The Enneagram describes what you want and what you are afraid of losing.
The Enneagram sorts personalities into nine types, numbered 1 to 9. Each number is a core motivation, not a skill or a mood. Most people also lean toward one of the two neighbouring numbers, called a wing, so you will see types written like 9w7 (a Nine with a Seven wing). We use it next to MBTI because the two together explain a character far better than either alone: MBTI shows how Zuko processes the world, the Enneagram shows why he cannot stop chasing his father’s approval.
