Leia takes over her own rescue about ninety seconds after it starts. Luke and Han blast into her cell on the Death Star with no exit plan, so she grabs a blaster, shoots open a grate into a garbage chute and tells everyone to dive in. She is nineteen, her captors have just destroyed her home planet, and she is already the most organized person in the room. When things fall apart, Leia builds the next plan while everyone else is still panicking.
I read her as ESTJ. Extraverted thinking leads: she sorts people into jobs, gives orders that make sense and expects results. She bosses Han from the first minute, and she runs the evacuation of Echo Base and, decades later, the whole Resistance with the same practical brain. Introverted sensing backs it up, the function that stores duty and history. Leia remembers. She carries Alderaan, her adoptive father and the Rebellion’s hard lessons, and she uses that memory as fuel, which is why she stays steady through loss after loss without turning cold. Her feelings exist, they just get filed under later. The weak spot, introverted feeling, shows up when someone asks what she wants for herself. The answer comes slowly, usually after a crisis forces it, like the confession she finally makes to Han as he is lowered into the carbonite.
Her core is an 8, with a 7 wing in the younger films and a calmer 9 wing later. Eights refuse to be controlled. Leia is chained to Jabba’s throne in an outfit she did not choose, waits for her moment, then strangles him with the same chain. She lies to Tarkin’s face and tells Vader what she thinks of him. Under the steel is the classic 8 secret: she protects soft people fiercely because she knows what softness costs. Her son is the one wound she cannot fight through, and at the end she spends her last strength reaching for him instead of commanding anyone.
The honest objection is ENTJ, since decades of rebellion look like long-range strategy. Fair. But Leia rarely invents a grand theory. She works with what is in front of her, follows procedure, keeps the base running and corrects anyone who skips steps. That steady, concrete command style is ESTJ, and it is why the galaxy calls her General.

In relationships
Is there anyone Leia has not argued with? Han, Luke, Poe, Tarkin, Vader, her own son. Arguing is how she shows she takes you seriously. She respects people who push back, and she quietly loses interest in people who only agree with her, because agreement tells her nothing about whether you will hold up under fire.
She needs partners who can match her stubbornness without trying to control her. Han is the classic example: they bicker through a whole film and fall in love anyway. Luke gives her a softer place to rest, and Padmé, the mother she never got to know, shares her fierce sense of duty.
