Forget the Sorting Hat for a minute: it asks one question and you have thirteen. Group chats, rivals, secrets and bad ideas decide who you are in this story, whatever house you picked at eleven. More people land on Neville than will ever admit it.

What do the letters (MBTI) mean?
Every character here has a four-letter personality type from the MBTI system. Each letter is one side of a pair, so the four letters together describe how a person tends to see the world and make decisions.
- E or I: Extraversion (energy from people) or Introversion (energy from time alone)
- N or S: iNtuition (patterns and possibilities) or Sensing (facts and the present moment)
- T or F: Thinking (logic first) or Feeling (values and people first)
- J or P: Judging (planned and decided) or Perceiving (flexible and open-ended)
Example: ENFP = Extraverted + iNtuitive + Feeling + Perceiving. Read the full guide. Our profiles are fan interpretations for fun, not clinical tests.
Why no house sorting? Four boxes are too few for one personality, so each answer here nudges you toward the characters whose habits fit it. Hand out a colour-coded plan for the group project and Hermione and McGonagall pull ahead. Shrug and improvise, and Harry and Sirius take the lead.
Each result opens a profile that spells out the reasoning: personality type, strengths, blind spots and the people they work best with. Landing on Luna when you pictured yourself as a Gryffindor is not a glitch. It usually says more about how you act on a normal Tuesday than about how you see yourself.
